Designed by Sylvain Willenz for Sancal, the Body chair features a backrest inspired by the human silhouette, particularly the back and shoulders. Crafted from ash wood, its structure is formed from multiple layers of molded veneer, resulting in smooth, organic lines. This chair stands out as Sancal's first non-upholstered model, yet it offers a variety of finishes, including a natural wood look and a range of stains. An upholstered version is also available, with a removable padded textile cover in selected fabrics. The chair's versatility is enhanced by options for stackable metal, wooden, or wheeled legs, and the possibility of adding metal arms in various colors. The seat is slightly wider for added comfort, making it suitable for corporate offices, coworking spaces, and educational institutions.
